I developed an interest in holistic health in high school.  After some college, work in a pharmacy led to managing a 200- jar apothecary of medicinal plants.  Patients came from afar seeking consultation from our department.
  Having my first professional massage sparked a passion and off I went to learn. Attending Stillpoint School of Massage began what has been a 30+ year adventure!  
  Intensive study with a few teachers from the Upledger Institute including direct supervision with Drs. John and Lisa Upledger occurred over five years.  Being a teaching assistant for entry and mid-level classes built confidence.  In addition to the core curriculum, training and clinical work in pediatrics and brain and spinal cord injuries added to my skills.  My love for Anatomy was nourished by leading edge fresh-tissue dissection classes.  Hands-on sensory experience of Central Nervous system tissues remains a highlight of my life.   Donor programs hold a high value of gratitude for such learning.
  I treat based on what my hands perceive, and mirror that back to my client.  Becoming more aware of what is present may help you decide if that continues to serve you or if there are options you would appreciate welcoming

My Skills

Craniosacral therapy is one of many modalities in Laurie's skill set, which also include myofascial release, breath work and client education. She says craniosacral touch "resets" the body to a "new neutral" and creates opportunities to deepen someone's experience of wellness, both on the table and in life.
