Emmanuel R Birstein

As a health-care practitioner I blend very simple ancient practices of Yoga and Chi Gong with sophisticated therapeutic bodywork. I studied the modern Western holistic therapies with the famous contemporary experts in the US and Europe. The ancient practices were passed to me in India by my revered masters who chose to live in relative obscurity. The one-on-one oral tradition of Yoga is based on experiencing our bodies as doorways to explore and feel our Higher Self and/or our Perfect Health. As an educator, I teach how to combine Yoga with bodywork to small groups of health-care practitioners who are interested in becoming healthier and more effective in their professional activity. I do not introduce or discuss any particular philosophy or theoretical background for the introduced practices. The training is based exclusively on practical applications and their format is tailored depending on the makeup and capability of each particular group.

My Skills
I work with babies, children, adults and elderly. I employ therapeutic modalities that gained popularity under such trade names as Craniosacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Nerve Manipulation, Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Biodynamic, Manual Lymphatic Stimulation, Structural Integrative Therapy, Myofascial Therapy (or Release), Orthopedic Massage and Postural Integration. A blend of very simple ancient practices of Yoga and Chi Gong is an integral part of my therapy session. In addition to the bodywork treatment I teach some of my clients a personalized set of Yoga postures, movements and breathing that equally benefits World class athletes and residents of nursing homes.
