Diane Roth Board Certified Structural Integrator

Diane Roth

Board Certified Structural Integrator

I have been a practitioner of bodywork since 1984. First as a massage therapist, then a Board Certified Structural Integrator. Over these years I have studied many adjunct therapies to enhance my skill set and my understanding of how the body heals and changes. I have studied Cranial Sacral Therapy with several different schools. By far, the Upledger Institute Cranial Sacral curriculum is the most profound method of practicing this work. In addition in the last few years I have studied Visceral Mobilization and Neural Mobilization with the Barral Institute. I use these modalities everyday as an integrated approach to wellness. In all these years I have continued to be inspired by working with people on their healthcare journies.

Structural Integration Structural Integration reorganizes, rebalances and reeducates the body by working with the connective tissue or fascia. I analyze the body standing and in motion to determine, with the client's experience in their body, how best to rebalance the structure by working in the tissue. Movement education is used to help keep the changes when the client leaves the office. SI is effective for many common issues including chronic pain, injury and stress. SI is practiced in an organized series of sessions or clinically on an individual basis.

Cranial Sacral Therapy

Cranial Sacral Therapy works with the rhythm of the cerebral spinal fluid to release restrictions of the membranes and bones of the cranium and spine as well as improve the functioning of the central nervous system. This rhythm can be felt throughout the body as a separate rhythm from respiration and circulation. CST can have a profound relaxing effect as well as aid in the treatment of many disorders including headaches, whiplash and chronic pain. CST is also used to gently and effectively release tissue restrictions throughout the body. It is a profound tool for balancing and opening.

Neural Mobilization

Neural Mobilization is a nerve therapy that aims to specifically locate and treat fixations of nerves throughout the body by applying gentle, precise pressure to the nerve in order to release restrictions and optimize function. This work can help to soften stubborn fascial adhering, reduce pain and calm the nervous system.

Visceral Mobilization

Visceral Mobilization evaluates and treats the motion and suspension of the organs, membranes, fascia and ligaments. There is an ideal motion mobility of each organ and an ideal relationship between organs. VM balances this dynamic with a soft and knowledgeable touch.
