About Me
Cherry obtained her bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, her post-graduate diploma in Exercise and Nutrition Science from the University of Liverpool, U.K. and her doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Des Moines University, Iowa. She was born in Hong Kong and worked as a physical therapist in Hong Kong and the states in outpatient clinics. She has worked for the Veteran Health Administration since 2014 treating the Veteran population with pelvic floor, orthopedic and neurological disorders in outpatient.
Her treatment emphasis is one of whole body connections through biomechanics and soft tissue with neuromuscular re-education and manual therapy. She is a certified pelvic floor rehab specialist through American Physical Therapy Association. She has attended different continuing education courses including craniosacral therapy from Dr. John Upledger, visceral manipulation, thermal evaluation, emotional and vascular release from Dr. Jean-Pierre Barral and Dr. Alain Croibier, muscle energy, strain counter-strain technique, and McKenzie Level I and II. She has also completed her Certificate in Vestibular Rehabilitation in Emory University. She is a registered yoga instructor, IAHP Teaching Assistant for visceral manipulation, teaching assistant in anatomy lab of University of Central Florida Medical School Lake Nona and APTA Certified Clinical Instructor.
Cherry has lived in the U.S. for more than 15 years. In her spare time, she likes traveling, exercises and spending time with her family and friends.
