Steve Kravitz is a doctor of physical therapy licensed in New York and Nashville, TN, a certified craniosacral therapist, and nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. He specializes in manual therapies originating from the osteopathic philosophy and practices in the areas of: pain management, orthopedics pediatrics, and sports medicine. Steve has been in private practice since 1998 and has advanced certifications in over 10 therapeutic disciplines including trainings in: CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Neural Mobilization / Nerve Mobilization, Myofascial Release, and Lymphatic Drainage. Steve has completed extensive coursework from pioneers in the field of manual therapy such as: Dr. John Upledger (CranioSacral Therapy), Jean-Pierre Barral (Visceral Manipulation), Dr. Bruno Chikly (Lymphatic Drainage), Dr. Sharon Weiselfish-Giammatteo (IMT - Integrative Manual Therapy), and Franklyn Sills (CranioSacral Biodynamics). Additionally, Steve is a teaching assistant at the Upledger Institute for CranioSacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, and Somato Emotional Release, as well as a lab assistant at the Barral Institute for Visceral Mobilization (Abdomen I, Abdomen II, Pelvis, and Thorax) and Nerve Mobilization (NM I, NM II, NM III, NM IV).

As a physical therapist, Steve has had experience in a range of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home health care, treating patients following: trauma, surgery, sports injuries, pain syndromes, and occupational and repetitive strain injuries. Mostly, Steve is passionate about helping people and feels very lucky to have found a way to make a positive impact on peoples' lives. He enjoys his work immensely and puts his heart and soul into each and every treatment. Steve treat infants, children, and adults with manual therapy and specialize in a wide variety of conditions with an emphasis on musculoskeletal and neuromuscular issues. Worked as a research assistant on an article published in the Journal of Women's Health Physical Therapy: May/August 2010 - Volume 34 - Issue 2 - p 46 - 56. The article is entitled: Analysis of lower extremity gait before, during, and after pregnancy. The poster was also presented at the Combined Sections Meeting, APTA, in February 2008 and won Women's Section research poster award.
