About Me

Wendy is a licensed physical therapist in Illinois, Colorado and New Zealand with broad experience over 25 years in a variety of settings including sports medicine, in-patient and outpatient care working with patients in all age groups. She is highly skilled and competent with a significantly effective integrative manual approach. She has recent hospital based experience in in-patient acute care including MICI, neurology, oncology, orthopedics, cardiology, pediatrics, and general surgical. She is dedicated to positive patient outcomes and actively pursues and integrates training and personal development in a broad range therapeutic and human movement modalities. Wendy regularly achieves positive outcomes when more mainstream physical therapy approaches have been unsuccessful.

Having completed extensive continuing education Wendy considers herself privileged to have studied with some of the finest teachers. In addition to her expertise in traditional manual therapy, Wendy has integrated many complimentary therapeutic modalities into her healing tool kit, including:

    Advanced Craniosacral Therapist;
    Applied Feldenkrais Practitioner;

Wendy takes an holistic approach in her practice and her extensive experience and training has assisted her to develop strong professional intuition. As a result she helps her clients to progress as quickly as possible in their healing. Wendy’s approach is strongly client centered. Her standard session is one hour long and you can be assured of her one to one assistance.

Wendy has led an active personal and professional life and some highlights of her broad experiences and interests include:

    Represented New Zealand as an elite athlete in international competition for New Zealand Women’s Netball Team;
    Experienced Sports Medicine Physical Therapist for elite athletes;
    Developed and assessed fitness training programs for athletes and corporate employees;
    Educated patients, health care providers and others in topics including:
    Relaxation techniques; stress management; and healing touch therapy;
    Exercise classes for the elderly patients;
    Anatomy and physiology for aerobics instructors;
    Craniosacral therapy teaching assistant for Upledger Institute;
    Lymphatic Drainage teaching assistant for Chikly Institute;
    Member of National Geographic Expeditionary Team – Bolivia, Chile & Argentina 2003;
    International Sea Kayak Guide USA, Greece, & Turkey 2005 - 2011.
