About Me

Hello,

I am an occupational therapist and have been practicing for almost 7 years. I love using CranioSacral Therapy techniques with my clients and have now centered my practice around it. I work with all ages across the lifespan. I am very comfortable working with infants. By using CST techniques I have helped infants with tongue-tie, torticollis, plagiocephaly, and "colic" issues. I also enjoy working with adults to help relieve chronic difficulties whether that be physical wear and tear, digestive issues, or emotional regulation (anxiety, PTSD, etc).

I also have a more specific practice with children with dyslexia. I uniquely incorporate CST techniques into our handwriting, reading, and spelling sessions. I have found that when using CST with these children to reset their nervous system, they are able to have improved sustained attention and decreased emotional dysregulation, anxiousness, and self-doubt. This allows them to have better frustration tolerance so they are able to continue learning to their utmost ability.

My Skills

I am trained via Upledger Institute for CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release approach through John F. Barnes, and Infant Cranial Sacral Therapy/Myofascial Stretching from Lori Hendrickson. I also have taken the courses Myofascial Release for the Aging Population via Jennie Goff and The Fundamentals of Lymphedema Treatment via Becky Lotz. I have completed a stroke rehabilitation intensive and a course for vision techniques for eye movement disorders associated with autism, ADHD, dyslexia & other neurological disorders. I utilize the Barton Reading and Spelling System with an Orton-Gillingham approach to address reading and spelling difficulties.

Due to being an occupational therapist I am also trained to assess and address fine and visual motor skills, primitive reflexes, and ADHD-like challenges such as auditory processing and executive function difficulties. I understand the emotional impact these struggles have on children and families and offer regulation strategies for the whole family unit.
