Sibyll believes that when it comes to healing, less is more. In order to reach our deep seated holding patterns - that over time may lead to pain and other health challenges, as well as prevent us from fully expressing our true nature - we need a safe environment and a gentle touch. She came to this conclusion early on in her bodywork career, where as a trained Physical Therapist she had learned various direct and sometimes forceful methods. These methods certainly have their place, and in our "no pain-no gain" culture tend to be popular. However, they have a potential to evade our deep holding patterns and sometimes even unintentionally reinforce them. This is an important consideration for anyone with chronic health challenges, but in particular for those of us who are highly sensitive and/or have tried many different therapies with little effect.

Sibyll's Bio

Sibyll grew up in Switzerland and started her bodywork career as a Physical Therapist, trained at the School of Physiotherapy at the University Hospital of Zurich. After graduating in 1993, she attended a Professional Training in the Feldenkrais Method, a learning method that uses gentle movements to increase self-awareness and rediscover more efficient movement and postural patterns. She worked as a PT for several years in different private clinics and hospitals in Switzerland and taught Feldenkrais classes to the public and hospital staff. In 1998 she left Switzerland in order to work with disabled and neglected orphan children in Haiti, helping them advance in their severely delayed development. Again, she witnessed how small, gentle steps can awaken even someone's long shut-down capacity for healing and development. After 2 years in Haiti she moved to Florida and became a Licensed Massage Therapist.

When she took her first CranioSacral class in 2008 she immediately fell in love with this gentle, respectful work. The deeply calming, healing effect that it had on her clients and herself alike, was so satisfying to her that she has continued taking classes at the Upledger Institute ever since and also became a teacher assistant for CranioSacral 1 & 2 classes. In 2011 she obtained her CranioSacral Techniques Certification and nowadays CranioSacral is her full-time occupation and her passion. During her treatments she often teaches her clients Feldenkrais movements or recommends audio lessons for home use in-between sessions.
