About Me

I am a physical therapist who uses a combination of cranio-sacral therapy, visceral mobilization, and traditional physical therapy practices to help restore movement and wellness in the body. These modalities in combination allow us to get to the source of dysfunction so that we can restore vitality in the tissues and patients have restored function. Over the last 20 years I have worked with diverse patient populations and in various settings (hospitals, rehab centers, private practices). My interactions and experience have taught me that people are more than their physical injuries. We are emotional sensate beings that accumulate physical and emotional trauma over our lifetime which all contribute to the presentation before us. I believe the body has the ability to heal itself. If we deeply listen, my client and I partner together to align the body and settle the nervous system facilitating evolution toward opening and wellness.

When I was a young girl I was always compassionate and I became dedicated to finding a profession to help people. I was big into sports and loved physics, so physical therapy was the perfect fit. After school, I had the privilege to work with everyone from medically compromised to neurologically impaired individuals to elite athletes. When I was a few years out of physical therapy school and practicing in the hospital settings, I developed chronic pain. I tried countless physical therapy practices and techniques to assist with this pain, with little relief. I was fortunate enough to come across a practitioner of cranio-sacral therapy and visceral manipulation and it changed my life. Not only did it relieve my physical pain, but it also paved the path to the practitioner I am today. I realized the power and impact these modalities could make on people's lives and I immersed myself in the teachings.

My Skills

I currently, in my practice, see patients of varying diagnoses from shoulder and neck pain to concussions and pelvic pain. Many of the people I treat have tried multiple practitioners and have had discomfort for long periods of time. They often have had surgeries or accidents and have not had the recoveries they need to return them to their previous levels of functioning. I am excited to partner with my clients to get to the source of their dysfunction, restore movement, settle their nervous systems and help them reach their individualized functional goals.
