About Me

Peter Melnychuk's interest with health began with the body core. His twenty two years clinical experience, plus extensive ongoing training in osteopathic bodywork is unmatched in Southern Mexico. Depending on the client, he uses one or more of four therapies. Visceral Manipulation (VM), is a contemporary Western osteopathic therapy focussed on optimal function of the internal organs. Neural Manipulation (NM), centers on restoring balance to the nervous system, freeing nerve restrictions in the cranium & limbs.

Peter also practices another more traditional and Eastern therapy, called Chi Nei Tsang (pronounced chee-nayt-song). CNT is a powerful hands on therapy that works gradually & deeply to release stagnant energy & stuck emotions from the abdomen. Excellent for those with Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Peter also practices TBM, or Total Body Modification - an applied kinesiology (muscle testing/reflex point) energy medicine which is wonderful for resolving allergies and chemical sensitivities. The specialized training and broad perspective of his education gives Peter a unique ability to help you to heal from within and restore your health.

Both Visceral Manipulation and Chi Nei Tsang involve touching the belly. While each practice is individual, they both share the philosophy that a person's health can be effectively improved by working gently on and directly with the internal organs. VM and CNT are wholistic methods of healing in which physical and emotional symptoms are viewed as interrelated.

  • Visceral Manipulation has helped many people suffering from conditions including (but not limited to):
IBS
headaches
gall bladder complaints
dysmennorhea, painful periods
stress incontinence, urinary frequency, urinary urgency
uterine misalignment, infertility, uterine prolapse
acid reflux, GERD, heartburn, gastritis
joint pain, (e.g., sacroiliac problems, hip pain), that is related to the internal organs
lingering ailments following surgery, accidents, or pregnancy
asthma, respiratory difficulties
physical conditions that have a connection with the emotions

Chi Nei Tsang addresses many of the same abdominal issues as VM. By contrast, CNT uses a (gradually) deeper touch, encourages the client to breathe into the area of treatment, and tends to affect the emotional body more directly. Chi Nei Tsang excels with people who suffer from:

chronic digestive and elimination complaints
IBS, constipation, loose stools
lingering post-surgical or post-partum pain (due to hysterectomy, C-section, multiple abdominal surgeries)
soft tissue injury due to accidents
physical conditions that have a connection with the emotions
stress & sleep difficulties
certain breathing difficulties, diaphragm restrictions
painful menstrual periods
certain menopausal symptoms
sub-par immune function

Neural Manipulation is typically lighter in touch than the preceding therapies. It is subtle but very effective, and has proven invaluable in helping to resolve:

headaches, neck pain, TMJ syndrome
insomnia, anxiety, panic attacks
pelvic pain (menstrual, ovarian, uterine, testicular)
abdominal pain
whiplash, soft tissue injuries, seatbelt injuries
trauma - from accidents, falls or blows
sciatica, back pain
carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow

Total Body Modification uses reflex points and muscle testing to help the body's bio-computer to restore normal function to the body's bio-computer. TBM is especially helpful in resolving:

IBS
food intolerances & allergies
seasonal, environmental & chemical allergies
adrenal fatigue
chronic fatigue
