Paula M Davies

LMT

I became a massage therapist in 1998 after I attended a 3 year program in energy healing. I fell in love with the body and have continued to study many approaches for healing and balancing it. To help heal mind and spirit I have studied trauma resolution and practiced meditation for 15 plus years as well. I have learned some very effective techniques but the most important skills I have is my ability to listen deeply to my client and to their body. It is a privilege to be present with someone on their healing journey. I am fascinated by the body's wisdom and all it has to teach. I work with all types of chronic and acute pain such as the following: -headaches and migraines -falls and accidents - pre-and post-surgical care - scar therapy and reduction - geriatric issues. - patients with fusions, Harrington Rods and more Trauma and stress is a frequent companion with pain and it is addressed as needed and wanted. I meet the client where they are and explore the condition as it presents itself. I take pride in being a body detective and following the clues to track and alleviate pain.

My Skills

My practice emphasizes manual therapies that use the body's "inner physician" or self-healing process for gentle resolutions of pain, stress and trauma. I began working with this approach in 1998 in a 3 year program for working with the human energy field so I have over 20 years of accumulated experience. Over time I have studied other osteopathic based therapies: CRANIOSACRAL with Upledger Institute. I currently have taken level 1 twice and mentor with advanced practitioners. LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE. I began study in 2015. Besides basics I completed a class for the treatment of fibromyalgia and chronic fatique ORTHOBIONOMY, a gentle form of body therapy which is highly effective in working with chronic stress, injuries and pains or problems associated with postural and structural imbalances. I have over 200+ hours of class plus ongoing mentoring . I graduated from Lauterstein-Conway Massage School in Austin, Texas and use massage basics as well. I completed a 3 year program working with the human energy field to improve health and wellbeing.
