About
Hello, I am Nadine Verdebout, a physical therapist and a Functional Nutrition & Lifestyle Practitioner in Clearwater, Florida.I graduated as a physical therapist in Belgium in 1988 and moved to the United States the following year.
Over the decades, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, each one expanding my experience and deepening my understanding of the human body.
In 2000, my husband and I opened our own practice, Healing The Generations. The name—and the heart behind my practice—grew from a deeply personal chapter in my life. My son, Matthew, was born with a cleft lip and palate and was later diagnosed with severe developmental delays. At the same time, I was losing my mother after her 20-year journey with breast cancer. I found myself trying to care for the people I loved while feeling as though my own world was slipping away.I realized that to become the mother I wanted to be for Matthew, I first needed to reach out for help myself. That decision began a profound journey of self-discovery, healing, and learning—one that ultimately transformed not only my personal life, but also the way I understood my work as a physical therapist. Healing The Generations was born from that journey.
Today my approach is rooted in what I call each person’s Holistic Individuality—the understanding that who we are physically, emotionally, and physiologically has been shaped by our unique life story, from our earliest beginnings to the present day. I believe our bodies carry that history, and that meaningful healing begins by listening to the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms.
Education is an important part of my work. I want the people I work with to understand their bodies, so I explain complex concepts in practical, everyday language and teach self-help tools they can continue using outside of our sessions.
My goal is not simply to provide care, but to help people become active participants in their own well-being.
My work incorporates gentle, hands-on and whole-person approaches, including Advanced CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, Core Awareness, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Functional Nutrition & Lifestyle support. These approaches are used to support regulation of the autonomic nervous system and help create the conditions in which the body can access its own innate capacity for balance, adaptation, and healing.
After more than three decades as a physical therapist, I continue to be inspired by the individuality and resilience of every person I meet. I work with people of all ages and abilities, meeting each person where they are and honoring the unique story they bring with them. For me, the greatest reward is witnessing someone begin to understand their body differently, discover their own resources, and feel empowered to take an active role in their healing journey.
