Karen's deep intention is to facilitate your body's inner wisdom for self-healing and recovery. As the Phoenix rises from its ashes and transforms, Karen is here to guide you through your own transformation, connecting with you through gentle touch, following the path of your body's physical signals to support your process. She recognizes the holistic and complex nature of healing and is able to gently hold a grounded steady therapeutic presence for you.
Karen is offering 50 minute and 75 minute in-person, as well as virtual healthcare sessions by FaceTime/WhatsApp/phone/Zoom.
A Craniosacral Therapy (CST) session may occur in-person or virtually via distance healing. It is a gentle, light touch treatment that tunes into where soft tissue or fluid restrictions reside in the body. Using touch and dialogue, we are able to engage both physical and emotional blockages, then use your body's inner wisdom to guide a process that helps with releasing injury and trauma, discovering a new way of being, then moving into integration and calming to complete the session.
Karen's gentle and strongly grounded presence, with empathic discernment provides a steady foundation to engage deep long held issues in the body. She has an affinity to work with people who are healing from PTSD, and those who would like to release current or past traumas at the physical/emotional/generational/spiritual levels.
Karen is also a Physical Therapist, with over 25 years of experience in orthopedics. She specializes in surgical and nonsurgical shoulder and spinal conditions, knee pain, tendonitis, fractures, TMJ pain, headaches, concussions, digestive and reproductive challenges, and various chronic illnesses such as fibromyalgia, sleep apnea/insomnia, Lyme disease, diabetes, and cancer. A Physical Therapy session may include developing or fine tuning your exercise program, reviewing your home computer ergonomics, joint mobilizations, soft tissue massage for trigger points, Lymph Drainage Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and breath work. You may be taught grounding exercises to help with steadiness and clarity. You may learn gentle self-care hands on techniques to assist with movement or pain reduction.
Karen graduated from Arcadia University (formerly Beaver College) in 1996, with Honors.
