About Me

Kate began studying CranioSacral Therapy with The Upledger Institute in 2000. Additionally, she has studied Visionary Craniosacral Work with the Milne Institute. Integrating both forms of CranioSacral work blends together the physical and energetic components of the work allowing for the most beneficial healing experience. Kate has treated traumatic brain injured, spinal cord injured and burn patients at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston at the request of the patient's family members and with physician approval. Combining CranioSacral Therapy, Therapeutic Massage and Myofascial Scar Release, she tailors each treatment to the patient's needs. "I enjoy this work tremendously! It is some of the hardest work I do, but also the most rewarding. Kate has an office in Newton but also does home visits for the elderly and disabled.

My Skills

As a licensed and nationally certified massage therapist, Kate combines CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Therapeutic Massage and  according to the client's individual needs and wishes. Her approach is to listen to your body to get to the root of the problem, and facilitate your body's ability to heal. Kate specializes in working with burn survivors combining CranioSacral Therapy, Manual Lymph Drainage, Myofascial Scar Release and Therapeutic Massage to enhance their quality of life by decreasing pain and itching, increasing mobility and range of motion, decreasing depression, anger and anxiety, and improving mood.
