Elaine uses the best of conventional/western medicine and alternative practices to provide safe and effective Holisitic and Integrative Care for her patients. She has a Healthcare Practice at Namaste Holistic Healing and Yoga Center in Truckee, California. She began her career in Critical Care working in Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, and High Risk Labor and Delivery and has 30 years of experience in healthcare. 

After sustaining injuries in several automobile accidents, Elaine experienced the benefits of Cranial work first hand and knew she needed to add this amazing work to her healing modalities. So she began studying CranioSacral Therapy with Dr. John Upledger in 1994 and finished her Advanced Study with Dr. Chas Perry in 1997, and added Advanced Pediatric Cranial treatment in 2008. She was a part of the first class for the innovative work of Tad Wanveer who developed treatment approaches for the Glial Interface in the brain.  She has been a Teaching Assistant for the Upledger Institute. 

Elaine received her undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from James Madison University, and a Masters of Science in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of California San Francisco. While at UCSF, she focused on Complementary Medicine. Additionally, she was awarded the Pulmonary Fellowship at UCSF.  Her expertise in evaluating the person and using a variety of Integrative Treatment Modalities is exceptional and she gets rave reviews from her patients. She maintains her strong connection to UCSF and has been a part-time Clinical Professor for them.

Hours of operation / Fees
Elaine sees patients in her office on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. You may call (530) 523-0770 to make an appointment for an office visit. You may also call 415-308-3888 to make an appointment for a home visit in Truckee or the North Tahoe Basin. 

Insurance companies generally cover some of the diagnostics, but insurance does not usually cover all recommended treatments.
