I am Alicia Berg, owner and practitioner of Grateful Spirit Holistic Health. I am a Nationally Board Certified Bodyworker, a California State Certified Massage Therapist (#6748), and a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner with specializations in CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. I teach CranioSacral Therapy in Santa Rosa, CA, and have taught CranioSacral Therapy at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy (CRSMT) in Samara Beach, Costa Rica & have taught Deep Tissue & Clinical Applications at IPSB College.
I completed most of my education at the (IPSB) International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego, CA; plus continuing education from a variety of sources. I have 1425 hours of training in massage & holistic health. I continue the pursuit of knowledge through attending classes, reading, and receiving holistic care. Currently my continuing education and passion are focused on CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. I have found the most profound effects while receiving and applying these techniques. The human body and it's capacity for healing are a source of endless fascination for me.
I have been in practice since January of 2000. The main focus of my work has been in therapeutic bodywork. I began by working along side, and accepting referrals from chiropractors, physical therapists & acupuncturists. I have extensive experience working with chronic pain, accidents, and injuries. In recent years I have developed a passion for creating sessions for special needs children primarily using Craniosacral therapy.
My interest in health & wellness started in 1988, when I got my first job. I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in elder care facilities & home health care. It was through my own health crisis that I became drawn to holistic practices. It has been an exciting journey which led me to study the concept of food being medicine, herbal remedies, clinical nutrition & supplements, therapeutic bodywork and finally to CranioSacral Therapy & Visceral Manipulation specifically.
