About Me
Dr. Yvonne
Huang, DPT began her journey in health and wellness career after her injuries from
long years of professional dance training in Taiwan. She completed her
undergraduate degree at California State University, Sacrament with Honor in
Kinesiology in 2008. She then obtained her physical therapist assistant
(PTA) degree at Sacramento City College. After three years of working as
a PTA, she decided to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapist degree.
While continue working part-time as a PTA, she completed and graduated with
Honor at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, San Marcos.
With her
person experience and career experience, she developed her passion in helping
others return to the activities that are important to them without needing to go
through the regrets that she had been through. She acknowledges the
factors of pain, fear of injury, and inability to participate in the
surroundings can affect one’s quality of life. As a physical
therapist, she believes that taking the time to listen to patients is important
to help developing specific treatment plan to help them reach their functional
and personal goals.
Dr. Yvonne
values education and continues to advance her knowledge and manual skills in
order to provide the highest level of care. Inspired by her experience with
oncology patients, she has dedicated her time to specializing in lymphedema
management and breast cancer rehabilitation. She also developed a passion
in Women’s and Men’s health and pelvic floor dysfunction. She has several
years of experience working with wide varieties of pelvic floor dysfunction,
and she plans to pursue a certification specialize in this realm in the
future. With her other additional training over the years, she has
developed unique therapy approach by treating a person as a whole. She
also wants to increase public awareness in pelvic and breast cancer therapy so
that everyone knows that treatments are accessible to them.
On a personal
note, she enjoys spending time with her family. On her leisure time, she
enjoys baking, cooking, and crafting.
