About Me
Dr. Vilma Wong is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy after successfully completing the internationally accredited Functional Manual Therapy® Fellowship Program in 2023 at Johnson & Johnson Physical Therapy under the direction of Gregory S Johnson, PT and Vicky Saliba Johnson.
Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics (OCS) in 2017 by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). Certification in Functional Manual Therapy with honors in 2021 through the Institute of Physical Arts (IPA).Â
Her breadth of coursework includes visceral & neural manipulation through the Barral Institute, pain neuroscience and pelvic floor therapy. Her new special area of interest is the impact of craniofacial and cervical mandibular dysfunction has on sleep disorders, airway and stomatognathic dysfunction in children and adults.
Vilma received her Clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2006 from Columbia University and completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at St. John's University graduating with honors as summa cum laude.
