About

Tracey graduated from Quinnipiac College with a BS in Psychobiology with double majors in biology and psychology in 1983 and graduated from Arcadia University's MS Physical Therapy program in 1992.
I have over 25 years of experience infusing many tissue specific manual therapy techniques with neuromuscular re-education and movement strategies.
I incorporate movement work including the pilates method, yoga, Rolf movement, Bartenieff fundamentals, ABM/Neuromovement to facilitate the optimal conditions for learning and to help the body re map itself into the brain by means of feeling perception of differences.
I integrate manual physical therapy methods: Upledger Craniosacral therapy and Barral institute  tissue specific osteopathic techniques to release restrictions in visceral, vascular, neural, articular tissues to facilitate optimal motion and function.
All techniques incorporate the whole self: brain, body, emotions, cognition to bring the whole system back to optimal organization and function.
Conditions treated include chronic pain, faulty posture and movement patterns, orthopedic and neurological conditions that impair functional movement, and,  in turn,  impair or restrict optimal performance of daily activities, sports, fitness, dance, equestrian and other pursuits. I treat headache, TMJ, neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, thoracic, lumbar, pelvic, hip, knee, ankle, foot pain and dysfunction.
I continuously study progressive evaluation and treatment methods including the Integrated systems model (Diane Lee, Linda Joy Lee); treatment of thoracic and lumbar spine (Diane Lee, Linda Joy Lee), osteopathic methods from the Barral Institute: Visceral Mobilization VM 1,2,3,4; Neuromeningeal methods NM1-5, Manual Articular Approach of the UE, Manual Articular of the cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine and discs and pelvis (Alan Crobier), Listening Techniques LT1, LT2, human cadaver dissection for anatomy training (VMD), Manual Thermal evaluation and emotional connections to restrictions in the body (VM5); Craniosacral Therapy CS 1,2, SER (Upledger). I have also studied Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (M Shea, B Harvey), Structural Integration and Rolf movement (B Harvey); Fascial Techniques (T Meyer); Back Education and Training, PNF, Functional Orthopedics 1,2 (Institute of Physical Art); Pilates for mat and all equipment (K Carlson, L Yeager of Pineland Pilates); Trigger Point therapy (J Travell), Shirley Sahrmann Movement Systems Impairments of the UE and LE and spine among many other courses over the years. All these methods seek to find the driver or source of the mechanical dysfunction, restriction or pain, which, interestingly, may or may not be in the same location in the body as the pain itself. Quite often the painful areal is produced by non-optimal alignment, nerve, vascular, fascial, joint or muscle restriction, impingement or compensation strategies elsewhere in the body.
I am currently in the Anat Baniel Neuromovement training that uses the 9 essential conditions for optimal learning of movement.  It re maps the brain where movement has become non optimal.
I work as a fee for service private practice providing receipts for submission to insurance or HSA.
I do accept motor vehicle insurance.
I have opted out of medicare and only provide maintenance or fitness level care for medicare subscribers.
The work is private, precisely targeted, and offered in calm serene beautiful locations to optimize focus, relaxation, recovery and learning.
The treatments often occur less frequently than traditional PT due to 50-55 min focused private sessions.
Today's busy life styles and recent high co-pay and deductible amounts find most clients stating they find the sessions to be an excellent value.
Please email or call for specific fees, questions and scheduling.
Thank you.
I truly love my work and am known for my empathy, creativity and heart centered approach.
I combine my intuitive skills with experience, and knowledge to solve the clinical puzzle every day...something I find to be a never ending learning experience and a joy.
