About Me

Welcome to Total Advantage Massage LLC. Whether you are looking for injury prevention, pain management or relaxation, each session is customized to the client and may include Active Release Techniques, Myofascial Release, Joint Capsule Work and additional orthopedic massage techniques. I offer many types of massage from relaxation to deep tissue with an emphasis on sports massage. By incorporating sports massage into an athlete's training and recovery program, he or she is able to obtain a competitive edge and increase flexibility while reducing risk of injury. Tama Mackay graduated with honors from Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, Connecticut Sports Massage Team and Kinesiotaping International and an avid runner. She has been a fitness instructor, spin instructor and personal trainer for over 20 years and has held NASM, ACE and AFAA certifications. Tama is also certified with the American Heart Association for First Aid, CPR and AED for infants and adults. Fitness is her passion and is what led her to massage. Tama enjoys helping people recover, relax and heal. She wants them to fully benefit from their athletic activities. Tama currently works with both AHL and NHL Professional Hockey Players, Professional Soccer, WTA and NCAA Division I athletes. She is also full body certified in ART,  Graston, Cupping, Integrated Manual Therapy and Orthopedic Massage and Kinesiotaping International. Tama looks forward to working with you and your family, whether you are competitive athletes, recreational athletes or not athletic at all!!!
