Terri Newman LMT

About Me

My name is Terri Newman and I'm honored you have taken the time to visit me here online.

I am a massage therapist, yogi, a student of Ayurveda, and practitioner of mindfulness meditation. Living this life, and seeing this world through the eyes of Terri is my ultimate guru.

I graduated as a Licensed Massage Therapist from Irene's Myomassology Institute in 2018. With my new license to practice massage therapy, I began my work in an Ayurvedic wellness center in Farmington Hills, under the guidance of an Ayurvedic Vaidya (doctor) from India. After two and a half years of study I was awarded my certifications in the Fundamentals of Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Bodywork, and Ayurvedic Subtle Therapies.

From there, I began my two year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification program through Sounds True, U of C Berkley Greater Good Science Center, and under the auspicious guidance of Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. Starting this program during the pandemic was pivotal to my growth as a person and practitioner of bodywork.

During that time, and as the result of my own healing path, I received an upper cervical adjustment and subsequent craniosacral therapy, that literally changed my life. So I began to study craniosacral through the Upledger Institute and am enjoying the mentorship of the amazing people at Essential Chiropractic in Ferndale, and providing craniosacral and support the the patients there.

Coming into my own healing and wellness has been the most incredible journey I ever could have imagined - all the ups and downs included. It is my humble privilege to now be able to share these teachings and practices with others.
