About Me

I am a licensed physical therapist who graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1991. Since that time I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, rehabilitation, home health, skilled nursing, acute care, and adult day care . I have been living and working in NC since 2004. During my 29 years as a physical therapist, I have taken numerous continuing education courses on a variety of topics including women’s health/ incontinence, manual therapy techniques (including Visceral Manipulation, CranioSacral Therapy, The John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach®, Strain/Counterstrain, Muscle Energy,  and joint mobilization) and therapeutic exercise (including McKenzie back exercises, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, muscle imbalances, golf exercises, and Pilates). I enjoy taking new courses to update my skills and learn new ways to help my patients. I utilize a whole body treatment approach to address restrictions throughout the body which may be the underlying cause of the problem, rather than just focusing on the symptoms- it's all connected! While I work with patients with a variety of orthopedic issues, I have a special interest in pelvic floor dysfunction and enjoy incorporating my training into treating pelvic pain, incontinence, and other related orthopedic issues such as low back and hip pain
