Dr Sunel received her bachelor's in physical therapy from the University of Pretoria and her Doctorate in physical therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Dr Sunel founded Trailhead Pelvic & Visceral Physical Therapy in Albuquerque NM where she feels her passion and calling is to work with pelvic pain and dysfunction as well as related orthopedic and visceral disorders. She loves working with people, plants, solving complicated pain problems and anatomy.

Where do I park?
Trailhead Pelvic & Visceral Physical Therapy is in building #7013, which is behind building #7015 that houses Montage Coffee and Wine. Please enter the parking lot on the south side of Montage Coffee and Wine where you can use any parking spot available to you.
How do I find your office?
Enter the building. Follow the hallway to your right and walk past two doors that lead to restrooms. Trailhead Pelvic & Visceral Physical Therapy will be the next door on your right. A wooden butterfly will be hanging from the door. If the door is open, please come on in. If the door is closed, please return to the waiting area and the therapist will call you when the room is available. You can also text the therapist at 505 357 0055 to announce that you have arrived.

At her clinic, Dr Sunel Vanderwalt focusses on pelvic health and pelvic floor dysfunction to include men's pelvic health issues, woman's pelvic health care as well as pediatric bowel and bladder dysfunction. Orthopedic problems that typically accompanies pelvic floor dysfunction includes back pain, hip pain, tailbone pain, SIJ and even jaw pain. Common diagnoses seen at this clinic include bowel and bladder leakage or incontinence, pain, tight pelvic floor, nerve and pudendal neuralgia and disorders such as interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, hiatal hernia, constipation and abdominal pain or scar tissue.
