About Me

Brigette Bowler DC has developed a model of Chiropactic called Structural Hygiene for the Developing Human. After 20 years of practice a statistical analysis of her recommended initial year of care showed that the average adult patient attended 7 to 10 visits receives 1 to 3 uppercervical toggle recoil adjustments and returns to a normal postural midline and reported increased health in 6 domains. This study is published in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research (JVSR.com} in the proceedings of IRAPS (International Research & Philosophy Symposium) 2010. The minimizing of adjustments is enhanced by Brigette's study of Dr. Upledger's theory and application of Crainiosacral Therapy and the Chiropractic philosophy of not treating symptoms. Instead the practitioner must be able to discern between cause of interruption or distortion of flow and compensatory adaptation to this distortion. Brigette's model holds that the primary cause of much disruption is subluxation at the OAA or impeded flow at the cvj. usually a lesion of the sbj. Brigette has recently added the study of Dr. Chikly's LDT because that is the fluid that complements the CSF in her model.
