About Me
For many years I taught high school English in an alternative school. It was a very fulfilling job and one that gave me great satisfaction. I have always known that I wanted to be in a profession that helped people and I certainly was challenged being a teacher and Department Chair.
One school year I experienced an extremely unfortunate experience while having a hernia repair. Several key sensory nerves were entrapped by stitches which resulted in permanent damage to my abdomen and upper leg. I was no longer able to work. Numerous surgeries were performed to try to help with the excruciating nerve pain, but very little helped. That is until I discovered CranioSacral therapy as a patient.
With weekly sessions, I began to get my mind back (after being on high dose narcotics) and my pain was lessening. Never in my imagination did I think that I could be where I am today physically. CST genuinely changed my life.
That experience led me on a wonderful path of healing and helping others It's hard to imagine that such a gently touch can make such a huge difference.
In addition to working on people, I'm very excited to be working with small animals, primarily dogs. The Upledger Ecosomatic animal coursework has been instrumental in learning the many key difference in working with people and animals. It's amazing to see how CST can help the lovely animals in our lives.
