Sonia Laverny

About

Hi, I'm Sonia. I am French, I trained in Asia, and practice a modality developed in the US: Craniosacral Therapy. I am certified by the Upledger Institute, the leading training and research body for this therapy.

My passion for this work is deeply rooted in my personal experience. For 12 years, as a marketing and internet project manager, I found relief from stress and chronic health issues with complementary therapies. These experiences transformed my vision of health. Fascinated, I moved to Thailand in 2012 to learn the complementary therapies that had helped me so much. After a few month, I opened my private practice and my passion became my full time job. 

In 2016, I moved again to Singapore to deepen my practice in Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. I first opened a new practice and then worked in a wellness center. I practiced alongside psychologists and sophrology practitioners to help clients with depression, burn-out, functional diseases, chronic pain and emotional difficulties.

Back in France in Paris area, I welcome you in Pilates Ouest, a lovely wellness centre at a jet stone from Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

My Skills

After a first training in Anatomy and Physiology (CIBTAC Diploma, 2013), I trained in different complementary therapies in Thailand (Traditional Thai massage, Refloxology - chinese, thai and western - , Reiki, Meridian Therapy, etc.) before focusing only on Craniosacral Therapy. I first completed a full training with Stefan Reiter, independent German teacher (2013-2015) and then studied with the Upledger Institute.  ​

I am certified by the Upledger Institute, the leading training body for this therapy worldwide and am also a teaching assistant since 2018.

I continue to actively learn via workshops, mentoring and clinical class to deepen my knowledge and practice (Singapore, Australia, United Kingdom).
