About Me

As a flight attendant with American Airlines, after 9/11 I felt called to make a major shift.  I enrolled in the Soma Institute for massage therapy in Chicago and became a licensed massage therapist.  Right away I was drawn to the energy of craniosacral therapy.  Life has its own timing and path, and it wasn't until 2019 that I took my first Upledger Course.  In 2025 I completed the requirements for certification.

What a session with me is like:

We will chat about what you need from the session--what you know about your body, where you hold stress and tension, where you have pain.

We will discuss your history with massage therapy--what works for you, what you like, what you don't like.

If you have never had massage therapy, I will thoroughly answer any questions you may have.  I want you to be comfortable.

I work out of my home in the Peoria area, and at Simplified Health, an integrative wellness facility in Canton, Illinois.

Cost per session--

$75 for 60 minutes
$105 for 90 minutes.

My Skills

*Licensed in massage therapy since 2004.

Working from the outside in, feeling the muscles and tissues and allowing them to soften and relax and melt away whatever is ready to be released.  I will never force or manipulate your body into releasing something it is not ready to let go of.

*Certified by Upledger Institute in CranioSacral therapy techniques in 2025.

Working from the inside out, feeling the rhythm of the craniosacral fluid as it gently pulses through the body, bathing all spinal nerves and brain. It is a rhythm that is subtle and gentle, and a skilled practitioner can detect where tension is coming from deep within the body.  The body directs the hands where to go, and gently unwinds at its own pace, and continues even after the session is complete

*Completed Visceral Manipulation courses 1 and 2.

The organs also have their own rhythm.  Any surgery creates scar tissue, and if there is a surgery that cuts through the peritoneum, the scar tissue tightens and pulls the organs, and eventually affects the skeletal and muscular systems.  A visceral manipulation session can detect which organs may not be moving as freely as they could.  They can be gently encouraged to shift themselves into a place of greater ease.  It is a very subtle and gentle session.

*SomatoEmotional release.

Sometimes the pain we carry in our bodies comes from emotions we are holding onto.  When there is a fall or trauma, the body might store some of it away, trying to protect you, thinking you don't have to feel all of it.  And the body can work around this stored trauma for years, until this newly created, dysfunctional pathway begins to cause stress.  And sometimes the pain or stress we are feeling in our body has to do more with stories and emotions we have not processed.  It could be related or unrelated to a physical event.  These, too, can be released through a session.  Ultimately it is you who decide what to let go of and when.  I completely honor and respect your decisions on your healing journey.  Many people are not even aware that their bodies are a record of their journey here on earth.  Once you begin to consider that, and honor and thank your body for all it has carried for you, you can truly begin to heal.
