Sarah is a Colorado state board certified Physical Therapist Assistant. She graduated with honors from Concorde Career College in Denver, CO. She is a member of the Colorado APTA chapter as well as the APTA Pelvic Health chapter.
Sarah grew curious about pelvic health therapy during school through various projects she completed, researching, podcasts and eventually further continuing education coursework. She came to realize how underserved and underrepresented women are and the lack of education that we receive on our bodies. This fueled her passion to continue to learn to better serve patients with pelvic floor related conditions with the goal to provide informative education to patients along the way. Some examples of pelvic health conditions may include but are not limited to: incontinence, bowel and bladder issues including urgency and constipation, painful intercourse, sexual dysfunction, trauma, pelvic pain, prolapse, back pain, respiratory issues, diastasis rectus abdominus, birth trauma.
Sarah has taken VM1 through Barral and can't wait to continue on this journey. She has also completed both Level 1 and Level 2A as well as Yoga For Pelvic Pain courses through Herman & Wallace Rehabilitation Institute. She has also taken various courses through the Institute of Physical Art in Functional Manual Therapy. Throughout her own life journey, she has relied on various tools to heal mind, body and spirit, and believes having education from various schools of thought to address all systems will help her better serve patients.
Her personal vision is: “To empower and educate patients to feel connected and embodied with themselves as a whole by providing the tools to succeed independently and confidently without the need for lifelong therapy.”
In her free time, Sarah enjoys both trail and road running, yoga, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, reading, road biking, and spending time with her family and friends and dog Sunny Boy. She is always open for recommendations on new places to explore and books to read!
