Sara Tavares is a Craniosacral Therapist, Tensegrity Medicine Practitioner, and Tensegrity Medicine Instructor with over two decades of experience in rehabilitative care.
She has been practicing rehabilitative therapy since 2003, with a professional foundation in Physical Therapy. From 2014 to 2024, Sara was an ABPTS-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurological Physical Therapy, and she has also served as Adjunct Faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Since 2010, Sara has focused her study on light touch fascia work and bodymind therapeutic approaches, including the comprehensive methodologies of Craniosacral Therapy and Tensegrity Medicine. These complementary systems integrate an understanding of the human connective tissue system (fascia), biotensegrity, neurology, and whole-person wellness.
Her work reflects an innovative, relational approach to addressing pain and dysfunction, emphasizing the body’s inherent capacity for regulation, resilience, and healing through gentle, precise intervention.
