About Me

Sally Fryer Dietz, PT., DPT, CST-D, CLC, SIPT Cert. is the Founder and Director of Integrative Pediatric Therapy (IPT) and Integrative Concussion Therapy (ICT)in Dallas, Texas. Both practices specialize in integrative and individualized approaches to physical, occupational & speech therapy treatment. Her team consists of 25 licensed physical, occupational & speech therapists specializing in pediatrics (newborn, school age and adolescence), visual and vestibular rehab (al ages), CranioSacral ((all ages), Visceral & Lymphatic Drainage (all ages), feeding therapy (infant, school age and adlescents), lactation counseling, newborn issues, lip & tongue tie (infants, parents & caregivers),  concussion, lifespan, sports enhancement, fall prevention & the Schroth method for scoliosis (all ages). 

 Her pediatric practice specializes in the treatment of children (all ages) with learning differences, autism, developmental disabilities, scoliosis, feeding problems, breast feeding issues, lip & tongue tie, torticollis, plagiocephaly, genetic & behavioral disorders and more. 

Her concussion practice focuses on providing patients of all ages with individualized, comprehensive, concussion prevention & recovery treatment. This includes manual therapy (CST, VM, fascial & Lymph), baseline testing, sports enhancement, visual & vestibular rehab, Dynavision, RightEye and Interactive Metronome, as well as health & wellness for the lifespan program and fall prevention. 

Sally founded IPT with a vision for combining multi-disciplinary therapies to help children establish a strong foundation for development and growth. Integrative Concussion Therapy was developed after observing the similarities in symptoms between children with visual and vestibular deficits, and a person with a concussion. With over 40 years of experience in the field of Pediatrics, she continues to see the benefits derived from integrated therapies designed to meet the individual needs of her patients.

 

She is a Diplomate Certified CranioSacral Therapist who has completed advanced training with The Upledger Institute. In addition she is a certified lactation counselor, developmental specialist and sensory integration expert. Her Upledger course work has included:

Sally has been a visiting therapist for the dolphin program in the Bahamas since 2006 and was a lead therapist and researcher in the Ricki Williams Concussion Intensive and Research Pilot Project. Sally has presented at "Beyond the Dura" multiple times and co-authored CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation: A New Treatment Intervention for Concussion Recovery (2017), Medical Acupuncture, Volume 29, #4.. She has participated in Intensive programs for patients in her clinic, as well as at The Upledger Institute in Florida and the Bahamas. She has assisted in teaching all levels of CranioSacral therapy, Pediatric courses and Advanced CST for The Upledger Institute

Sally frequently lectures nationally and internationally on the subject of PediatricTherapy, Sensory integration, CranioSacral Therapy, Lactation Counseling,  Child Development and Concussion. She is the published author of 2 books;  "Sensory Processing Solutions - Drug Free Therapies to Realize your Childs Potential" & "When Kids Fly, Solutions for Children with Sensory Integration Issues". Her books highlight the importance of integrating therapies, including CST, to help children realize their full potential.  She was a co-author for a chapter in Dr. Upledgers book "Working Wonders" where she wrote about her work with the formerly conjoined Egyptian twins.

My Skills

Sally is Licensed as a Physical Therapist in both Texas and California as well as being a Diplomate in CranioSacral Therapy and a Certified Lactation Counselor & Sensory Integration Specialist. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1980 from University of California in San Francisco and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy with a Pediatric Speciality, from the University of Texas in Galveston, in 2016. She graduated with highest honors in Child Development and is SIPT Certified (qualified to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test). In addition, Sally is a certified Lactation Counselor and integrates lactation counseling, developmental therapy, CranioSacral Therapy and parent education into her treatments with new babies.  She is a provider for Interactive Metronome, Dynavision, Vestibular and Visual Rehabilitation (V2Fit), "RightEye", Integrated Listening Systems (ILS) and several Listening Programs.  She is a dedicated professional and leader in the fields of developmental pediatrics, CranioSacral therapy & sensory integration.
