About Me

Our bodies have an innate ability to self heal, but sometimes we need a little assistance. A Focused Touch blends CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation for a therapeutic and relaxing experience.

My Skills

Rebecca gained her massage therapy license in 2007, and became an Equinology certified equine bodyworker (for horses) in 2009. She took her first CranioSacral therapy course through Upledger in 2015, and became certified in CranioSacral therapy techniques in 2019. She has taken coursework through ADV1, as well as pediatrics, seniors and horses. She has experience in the curriculums for Working with Chronic Depletion, the Immune Response and Touching the Brain. She has extensive experience working in mini-intensive multihands treatments, as well as working as a teaching assistant and study group leader. 

Rebecca became interested in visceral work after antibiotic treatment disrupted her gut flora balance. As a patient of VM instructor Brandi Kirk, she became intrigued about how to integrate the highly complimentary modalities. She took VM1 in April 2023, and received an invitation to join the teaching assistant track when re-taking the class in August of 2024. She is looking forward to exploring VM2 and beyond!

The directions below are for A Focused Touch clients going to the Healing Room ONLY! 


The Healing Room is conveniently located just off the 90/94 expressway near the intersection of Chicago, Milwaukee and Ogden avenues. From Eastbound, exit at Ogden and turn left, then right on Milwaukee, Left on Morgan, Right on Huron. From  Westbound, exit at Augusta and turn left onto Milwaukee. Morgan will be a few blocks down, just after CVS and Spoke apartments. Huron street is nestled between Chicago and Milwaukee avenues; the Healing Room is on the 900 block between Sangamon and Morgan. Limited free parking is available on Carpenter, Superior, Morgan, and portions of Sangamon. Other areas are free depending on the time of day (free after 5pm on Huron, free parking before 3pm on Green and Erie). There is also metered parking on Milwaukee and Chicago avenues, and garage parking in the Spoke building at the intersection of Huron and Morgan. 


The blue line Chicago and Grand stops are nearby, as are the Chicago, Milwaukee and Halsted buses.
