Paula Brookmire, massage therapist

Paula Brookmire has worked as a massage therapist in southeastern Wisconsin since 1996. She specializes in trigger-point therapy, fascia release, lymphatic drainage, posture evaluation, visceral manipulation, gentle massage for people with cancer, and other techniques to reduce pain, increase range of motion and help clients move freely. She has taken classes from trigger-point specialists Paul St. John, David Kent and Doug Nelson. She has taken fascia-release courses from John Barnes and Tom Myers. She continues to study Jean-Pierre Barral's visceral manipulation to mobilize internal organs and has taken courses VM1 (twice), WM2 and VM4.. She has excellent rapport with clients ranging from 50 to 90-plus, but works with any age group. Paula also has a B.A. degree in psychology and journalism and has completed numerous graduate-level courses. In the massage field, she has completed more than 1,500 hours of continuing education. Her hobbies include cross-country skiing, photography and attending cultural events such as dance and music presentations.

Hours of operation / Fees

Paula has appointments Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to early evening. 2024 Fees: $85 for one hour of treatment, $100 for 1 1/4 hours of treatment, $115 for 1 1/2 hours of treatment, $140 for a two-hour treatment, and $40 for one-half hour

Wauwatosa, Wisconsin: From the intersection of Bluemound Road and Hwy 100 (the busiest intersection in WIsconsin), drive west on Bluemound to 117th St. (also called Homewood St.). Turn south on Homewood and pull into the first parking lot on the east side. Enter the door on the porch facing Homewood St. (NOT the Bluemound Rd. door). The business is in a gray house with maroon shutters.
