About Me
I completed a Bachelors in Nursing (2007) from University of Oklahoma. Following graduation, I selected the Neuro ICU where I practiced for 5.5 years at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, then Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. I had the pleasure of assisting patients in critical care, many of whom were dealing with strokes, hydrocephalus, brain tumors, and complex spine conditions. Over time and through my learnings in these positions, my view of healthcare has continued to evolve. When deciding to start our family, this evolution ramped up dramatically. My husband and I reviewed all options for my care and that of our children from pregnancy to birth to their childhood development. We decided to use a midwife and deliver at home with our 2 children. These experiences were the foundation for my passion around how the body can work naturally. My first experience with CranioSacral Therapy was with our first born. She was born with a tongue tie, along with restrictions on her arms, legs and head. Following CST, we noticed dramatic and positive effects in her nursing, reflux, sensory behavior and her sleeping. Our 2nd child had an intra-cranial hemorrhage at 5.5 weeks of age, which led to hydrocephalus. He had a shunt placed to relieve the cranial pressure. Following the shunt, we treated him with CST and are happy to say that he has responded incredibly well and in great health with zero complications since the shunt procedure! I also had CST to help lessen my traumatic memory so I was better able to deal with my emotions following this traumatic experience, and have thus seen positive results. Our family continues to utilize CST ourselves and we have all seen positive changes in our overall health and emotional well-being!Articles & Books Written
