Mya Breman

LCSW, LMT, CST-D

Gayle 'Mya' Breman's career underwent a drastic shift when she left TV and radio to join The Upledger Institute as marketing director in 1989. Impressed by the results she saw clients attain here, she returned to school to study manual therapy.

Ms. Breman has since earned her state and national massage therapy licenses, as well as a master's degree in clinical social work from Barry University. She is an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been extremely fortunate to be mentored by Dr. Upledger in CranioSacral Therapy and Dr. Bruno Chikly in Lymphatic Drainage Therapy throughout her 30+ years at UII. She loves blending structural and emotional therapy in everyday problem solving as well as the most complex trauma. She is known as a BodyPsychologist because of her extensive experience and ability to combine structural and emotional healing with her client's.

In addition to seeing private clients at UII Clinic, Ms. Breman is active in the clinic's intensive programs. She also enjoys working through pregnancies and than with the mother and newborn in the birthing suite with great success. Ms. Breman frequently lectures at conventions, conferences and schools worldwide where she presents CranioSacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release and Healing from the Core to professionals and laypersons. She has taught ShareCare classes for eight years at Upledger Institute International and one and two day CST and LDT classes. Clinics invite her to work with their clients from all over the US, Europe and Asia. She has coached many therapists in the blending of dialoguing and non-invasive therapies. Her work as a social worker and body worker with Hospice has given her a fearless and compassionate ability to go anywhere with the client with confidence.

Mya is passionate about her work and continues to feel honored by her clients trust. She comes from love, lack of judgment without any agenda. She is excited and appreciative that there are 'no two people alike in the world', so each session is completely different and full of learning, changes and productivity.
