About Me

Miranda Harvey received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Hardin-Simmons University in 2005. She began her studies in manual therapy during PT school with the Institute of Physical Art in Steamboat Springs, CO and completed a certification in Functional Manual Therapy in 2011. She received became a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist in 2014. She began to offer combined expertise in orthopedic manual therapy and pelvic floor in 2008. She completed her APTA CAPP-Pelvic certification in pelvic health and now serves on the APTA Section for Women’s Health Pelvic Committee as Co-Chair and assists in teaching and writing continuing education courses and travels to educate physical therapist on the pelvic floor and pregnancy.

Miranda completed a year long fellowship in Steamboat last year to further her practice of manual and pelvic floor physical therapy. She returned to Texas after completing her fellowship last summer with her family. Her husband Jody, coaches and teaches for Wylie. She has 2 children 9 & 7. She enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, yoga, studying movement and anatomy, and continues to take courses to further her daily practice. She enjoys mentoring, consulting, teaching live and online when possible, and offers private or small group yoga session to bridge between PT and transition toward independent management.

What to remember? Because of her extensive training in manual therapy and women’s health, Miranda can address any condition head to toe. Whether you come to Physical Therapy for neck or back pain, shoulder pain, headache or migraines, visceral (organ) dysfunctions, ankle sprains, after surgery, pregnancy, or pelvic pain, Miranda can take care of the system wide connection throughout the body when it comes to pain. No incident in your life is disconnected from your body. Your body tells the story whether it is the muscles, the fascia, the joint, the nerve, the organ and we have to remember in the day and age where everyone is a specialist, THE BODY IS CONNECTED. Every part can complement another. Every part can also affect another area.

Request Miranda for your therapy needs, especially when it comes to your pelvic floor!
