About
Mike Duray is a licensed massage therapist, certified Pilates instructor, Orthopedic massage therapist and board certified advanced practitioner of Structural Integration and has been in practice since 2021. He received his certification and training in Structural Integration from Tom Meyers, anatomist, author, advanced certified Rolfer and founder of the Anatomy Trains school of Structural Integration.
Mike was fortunate to be introduced to Visceral Manipulation by Barral Institute faculty member Christoph Sommer during his early training with Tom and continues to deepen his understanding of the human body with continuing education in Visceral Manipulation, Neural Manipulation, Cranio Sacral Therapy and Somato Emotional Release through the Barral and Upledger Institutes.
A student of motion, Mike has actively practiced Shotokan Karate and has been a member of Shotokan Karate of America, a non profit educational organization, for over fifty years. Currently Mike serves on the board of directors for SKA and volunteers his time teaching the karate clubs at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. Mike is also a certified Nordic ski patroller and enjoys patrolling in the Laurel Highlands.
Mike is also a certified level 3 Peak Pilates instructor. Some of Mike’s other interests include mountaineering, cross country skiing, telemark skiing, hiking, biking and Scuba diving.
