Michael D. Blondell, PT, OCS, MTC
Mike earned his bachelors degree in physical therapy from the University of Maryland School of Physical Therapy in 1985. He has successfully pursued additional certifications, including as a Certified Pilates Instructor, is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) by the Board of Physical Therapy Specialities, and is Manual Therapy Certified (MTC) through the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (formerly known as Institute of Graduate Physical Therapy).
Mike has worked in a variety of settings including in-patient neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, home care and hospice and private orthopedic practice clinical management.
Mike has concentrated on expanding his manual therapy toolbox, and have in recent years focused on learning and implementing Strain Counterstrain (SCS, The Jones Institute), CranioSacral Therapy (CST, The Upledger Institute), and participates in a local study group for complementary and integrative manual therapy modalities, including from The Baygrass Institute.
Mike is a long-time Towsonite who spends his off-duty hours with his wife and their dogs, and enjoys exploring different cultures through travel, reading, cooking, and gardening.

Mike has enjoyed taking a broad spectrum of courses in Myofascial Release, joint mobilization, orthotic evaluation and prescription, therapeutic exercises for postural and muscular imbalance, aquatic therapy, Pilates, vestibular rehabilitation, Strain-Counterstrain, and CranioSacral Therapy.
