About Me

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a pediatrician.  I wanted to work with kids and families and make them "all better".  Helping people feel better has always been a passion of mine.

I began swimming year round at the age of 10, and quickly jumped into the world of being an athlete.  This shaped my decision to go into Physical Therapy, and I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 2005.  Over the last 17 years, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including acute care (hospital based), inpatient rehab, long term care, home care, outpatient orthopedics and most recently in outpatient pelvic health.  I have been a teaching assistant for both Northeastern University as well as the MGH Institute for Health Professions working with graduate Physical Therapy students.  Over my 17 year career, I have worked with patients through a variety of life cycles, including injury, illness and prevention.  I have an in depth understanding of our current health care model, as well as its gaps. I am passionate about providing clients with a true holistic approach to health and wellness, and strive to be an advocate for them on their journey.

I have chosen to specialize in pelvic health, opening my own private practice in the spring of 2022.  At Elevate, I primarily treat individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, postmenopause and all things in between.  I blend Eastern and Western techniques to provide a holistic approach to treatment, incorporating Reiki, energy healing, visceral mobility, meditation and mindfulness into our sessions.  I feel grateful everyday I have been called to do this work.

Originally from northern NJ, I now reside on the north shore of MA with my husband and our two children (and our rescue pup!). I aim to bring movement and mindfulness into my life daily and "practice what I preach" if you will.  I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, being out in nature, swimming in the ocean (yes even in the winter!) and exploring new places.

My Skills

As a PT I am trained to evaluate and treat individuals dealing with pain, weakness, dysfunction, impaired balance, low endurance, limited mobility and overall impaired function and activity.  Essentially when the body breaks down, I am trained to try and figure out why.

I have chosen to specialize in Pelvic Health, currently working as a Pelvic Floor PT.  I work with individuals dealing with urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, pain with penetration, prolapse, diastasis recti or core instability, prenatal care, birth prep, postpartum healing and more.

I am also a Reiki Master.  I offer Reiki as a supplemental healing tool in our Physical Therapy sessions, and also offer individual Reiki healing sessions.  Reiki has opened my awareness of the energies within and around us, and has only served to heighten my skills as a practitioner.
