About Me

I graduated from Springfield College in 1992 with a master's of science degree in physical therapy. I received my doctorate from Boston University in 2005. I have experience with all ages and have worked in a variety of settings (hospitals, inpatient rehab, schools, clinics). I work with people with all types of diagnoses including: Pelvic pain, bladder, bowel, and sexual dysfunction,  infertility, orthopedic injuries, torticollis, feeding issues, postpartum, pre-natal issues, lymphedema and many, many more. I primarily do all hands on treatment and add in exercise as needed for recovery and strengthening. I designed a research study through Boston University for using these types of techniques for the treatment of infertility. The study was published in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association in October 2012. I also published a case report in Rehab Oncology using fascial release and manual lymph drainage to successfully treat Chylous Ascites following renal carcinoma.  
I am currently working at Thrive Again PT in Washington, DC one day per week and at my business, Fluid PT in Germantown, MD.  The rest of my time is spent developing courses for breast and latching issues through The Nourish Project and teaching through Fluid PT.  I am also working on educating the public with my podcast, The Postpartum Years™.
