After ten years working in hospitals and rehabilitation settings, I was called to the work of manual medicine, or hands-on therapy. CranioSacral Therapy, for me, unites key features of health attainment. It is a union of clinical science and anatomy, the use of gentle forces to unwind and balance the body, and the use of energy and the body's own powerful impulse to heal. My clients can expect a comforting experience as we work together to reduce and eliminate pain, make movement more fluid, and encourage the self to be more at home and at ease in the physical form. I am in the process of becoming CranioSacral Therapy Techniques certified through the Upledger Institute International. I am the owner and sole practitioner of Sloane Physical Therapy in Canton, Massachusetts.

I have completed two four-day courses in this profound modality: CranioSacral Therapy 1 and 2, and am scheduled to take the next course (of hopefully many years' worth) in March 2017. In CST 1 and 2, I developed the skills of listening to the body and its rhythms, using exquisitely gentle forces to unwind tissue restrictions, and handle the many bones of the head, jaw, spine and pelvis to restore optimal position. Also included was the clinical use of hands-on energy, both listening to the body's energy and introducing energy flow to the body as a way to diagnose and treat the individual.
