About

I am Linda K. Bradak, LMT, CST-D, a magna cum laude graduate of Bryn Mawr College who worked as a public relations writer for 11 years until the experience of surviving cancer changed my life, sending me back to school to learn how to cultivate, practice, and subsequently, embody and teach wholeness. Facing "the Big C" led me to look at my thoughts, beliefs, values, habits, relationships, occupation, where and how I lived. My path then took me to school first for massage therapy education, then seven years learning and practicing Trager Psychophysical Integration, a form of movement re-education. In 1986 at a Trager conference I saw a demo of Upledger CranioSacral Therapy and was able to feel the CranioSacral Rhythm. Tears of joy coursed down my face. I enrolled in the first class UII offered in Philadelphia, in 1987. 37 years later I continue to take or TA several UII/IAHE classes per year. Practicing, embodying, and teaching what it is to be whole, which is the same as well, is my joy.

My Skills

I started studying CST in 1987 and earned my Diplomate in Upledger CranioSacral Therapy in 1997, including extensive study and TA work with Dr. John Upledger. In 2006 I married a wonderful man and moved from NJ to Utah, where I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, though I work only in CranioSacral Therapy and allied techniques. My office is in my home, and I am semi-retired,seeing clients two days per week. As an alumna of many Advanced CranioSacral Therapy courses with a deep background in fascial and brain techniques, I treat many clients with PTSD and other brain/nervous system issues as well as newborns with suckling and/or bonding problems. I also love working with the "enteric brain," the brain of the gut, which  truly mirrors the brain within our cranium -- a veritable example of "as above, so below."

I have taken and or TA'd several IAHE/UI classes a year for 37 years and intend to continue doing so indefinitely. I am in the stage in life where "paying it forward" is a major personal theme for me.

The common link in all approaches I utilize is the restoration of FREE MOVEMENT, whether it's of tissues, organs, fluids, energy, emotions, or even patterns of thinking, all based in collaboration with the client's Inner Wisdom. When any of these aspects of our life feel "stuck," it's uncomfortable, and indicates something is amiss. For 3 years I worked with anthropologist Angeles Arrien Ph.D. learning Cross-Cultural Healing Practices. A spiritual perspective that is is strong, broad, kind, and deep infuses my life.. I am a Certified Presenter of UI's Introductory CranioSacral Therapy classes, a Certified Teaching Assistant, a Certified Study Group Leader and a UII-approved Mentor, "helping others to help others".

This skill set developed through my long working life can help clients to discern "what gets in the way" of their living their own best life, however they define it. I have profound trust in my capacity to connect and work with the client's Inner Wisdom via that sudden stop of the CranioSacral Rhythm termed the Significance Detector. The client's Inner Wisdom is in charge of the session, while I honor, support, and mirror back its guidance. I also make use of the skills in movement re-education acquireded through 7 years of Trager work, "reminding the mind in the tissue of the feeling of ease."  Finally, as applicable I can also add in everything I learned of Cross-Cultural Healing Practices which may apply. These approaches blend seamlessly into everything gained through long collaboration with some of the best UII/IAHE Instructors. Their sum adds up to a broad, deep, effective, kind and gentle toolkit I get to employ as I practice all the excellence I have been given.

Finally, though life gives us no guarantees, the best preparation for dying well is living well. As one now an elder myself,  I work with a number of cancer patients and clients with severe health issues. I believe I can help people of all ages fully to live until we die, with a minimum of the "what ifs" and "if onllies" which sap energy and end up leaving a legacy of regret.

Hours of operation / Fees

For adults: $45 per 30 minutes, $80 per hour, $120 per 90 minutes, $155 per 2-hour session.
For babies and children: I bill in 15-minute increments. The first 15 minutes is $20, 30 minutes is $40, 45 minutes is $60, and if we go up to an hour, it's the same as for adults, $80. I pro-rate fees for times in-between. When I treat multiple family members, each gets a $5 reduction of the hourly fee. If clients struggle with these costs, we talk with one another and seek to make treatment affordable. For Mentoring UII students, my fee is $55/hr. I accept payment by cash, check, or Venmo, no credit cards.

Driving directions

Once in Logan UT, follow Center Street heading East toward the Bear River Range Mountains. As you reach their foothills and the road starts going STEEPLY uphill, turn L on the first street you see, which is Canterbury Lane. Canterbury Circle comes off it further uphill and to the R. My house number is #75, near the bottom of the circle, and the house has a bright blue mailbox and door.
