About Me
Lauren Shepley, PT, DPT is the founder and owner of Life Cycles Physical Therapy in New Orleans, LA, a holistic physical therapy practice that offers a whole-body, integrative approach to treating physical dysfunction. Using pelvic floor therapy, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, neural manipulation, Arvigo Mayan abdominal massage, somatic movement, and meditation, evaluation and treatment are based on listening to the body in order to determine and address the root cause of dysfunction and to enhance the body's innate healing mechanisms. At the root of the practice is the understanding that the body knows what it needs to heal, recover from injury, build resistance to disease, improve function, and promote wellness.Â
After graduating from Tulane University, Lauren completed a local yoga teacher training and taught yoga and meditation for 5 years before returning to school to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at LSU. After practicing as a pelvic floor physical therapist with Ochsner Therapy and Wellness for a few years, Lauren moved to IL for specialized training and mentorship with Brandi Kirk, PT, PRCP, CVTP, an intensive and invaluable 18 months that was enriching at every level. Lauren moved back to New Orleans in late 2020 and started Life Cycles Physical Therapy in 2021 where she works with a wide array of dysfunctions, symptoms, and diagnoses including but not limited to:Â
