Lauren Gurtman is a highly experienced Speech Language Pathologist, Certified Orofacial Myologist, certified integrative breathing therapist and Manual Therapist in private practice with 30 years of experience. Her professional journey began in New York City as an integral member of the Beth Israel Medical Center Cochlear Implant Team.
She was first introduced to CranioSacral Therapy when one of her twins had torticollis and brachiocephally due to intrauterine crowding which required a helmet. Since that moment forward it became her mission to prevent other infants from needing helmets.
Lauren believes in an integrative and Holistic approach to therapy that combines speech, orofacial myofunctional therapy, feeding, breathing reeducation, sensory integration, Primitive Reflex Integratioon, Cranial nerve integration, and of course Manual Therapy techniques.
Lauren is deeply comitted to continuing her education and has completed 1000’s of hours of advanced trainings earning her 10 ACE awards from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. She holds numerous certifications including;

Lauren’s expertise extends into various manual therapy techniques such as Craniosacral Therapy, Craniosacral Fascial Therapy, and Biodynamic Manual Voice Therapy.
Lauren works collaboratively with many of the top New York metro orthodontists and airway dentists to ensure her patients receive comprehensive care. She completed an ALF mini residency with the Alf educational institute and she has extensive experience supporting her patients through airway expansion.
Lauren is passionate about incorporating canine - assisted therapy into her practice. She currently has three certified therapy dogs that she personally trained to assist in diaphragm release and to enhance her treatment programs. A 5 pound therapy dog is a perfect Craniosacral Therapy assistant!
