Sessions with Lara are a comprehensive approach to remodeling
your body, posture and movement capacity. Bodywork is more than
relaxation. It is an environment for clients to direct and participate
in healthcare maintenance. Lara is here to empower and support
your individual process of balancing your body.
Beginning in the physical therapy arena, Lara pursued treatment paradigms for chronic pain, orthopedic surgery, women's health, and sports/dance rehabilitation as a indirect licensed physical therapy assistant. She has had an ongoing career in dance, movement, and somatic practices spanning 30 years with a Fine Arts in Dance. She has continued her education and learning pathway with over 300 hours in continuing education with Upledger, Barral, and Barnes models.
Sessions with Bodyworkmovement are a collaboration where fascial modalities meet movement. Pulling from myofascial, craniosacral. visceral and sports techniques Lara provides a distinctive hybrid treatment based on the person's specific restrictions and goals. With 25 years of movement education, Lara combines her manual sessions with movement corrections and develops individual self care tools that the client accesses on a daily basis.
FIRST TIME CLIENTS INITIAL sessions are $175/1HR 30 MIN and include bodyreading assessment, informed consent, plan of treatment, and hands on techniques per client’s goals. All communications are through EMAIL. Text or EMAIL for cancel or reschedule. No voice mails.
