About Me
Kira studied acupuncture at the Tai Institute of Oriental Medicine and the National College of Oriental Medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. Her program included four years of study in acupuncture and herbology, along with other modalities such as homeopathy, western medicine, and 2,000 hours of clinical experience.Kira's education also includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida She is currently working on her dissertation to finish her Doctorate in Holistic Nutrition.
Kira's continuing education work has been done primarily at the Upledger Institute where she has been studying CranioSacral Therapy since 1999. Her studies at the Upledger Institute include workshops such as CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, Advanced CranioSacral Therapy, and CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics. She is also a teaching assistant and a study group leader for other therapists.
Kira has been treating patients in the Orlando area since 2000. Her specialties include pain management, mental/emotional imbalances and, working with infants and children.
Kira loves being an acupuncturist and enjoys spending her days helping others and feels she has found her true calling.
