About

Dr. Kimberly Hanson earned her Bachelor’s in exercise science from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington in 2005 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from George Washington University in 2009. She has advanced training in functional manual therapy through the Institute of Physical Art as well as visceral and neural manipulation through the Barral Institute.  She is certified in Functional Dry Needling as well as the Barbell Rehab Method.

Dr. Hanson founded Hanson Physical Therapy and Sports Performance in 2020 having previously worked as the Clinic Director at Under Armour Global HeadQuarters in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Hanson is committed to lifelong learning and evolving her practice to continually provide the highest quality of care with innovative techniques and methods. She has experience working with athletes of all levels, from the weekend warrior to the collegiate and professional athlete.
