About Me
I've worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 40 years in traditional health care. I'm like a Wellness coach, working with my patients and educating them on living a more healthy life style. Over the years, I found myself wanting to make more of an impact on people's lives. This was precipitated when I began dealing with my own health issues. In 2000 I was diagnosed with Lupus and Raynaud's Syndrome.
I began pursuing training in Manual therapies 10 years ago. I had my first CranioSacral treatment in 2002 and knew it was something I wanted to know more about. I received training through the Upledger Institute and now training through Barral Institute in Visceral Manipulation. I obtained a Massage Therapy License in 2019. I've become very skilled in seeing someone's strengths and abilities and can easily provide adaptations and/or modifications when needed to achieve the highest level of functioning.
My Skills
Through the years, I have learned a great deal about the needs of others. As an O.T. and Yoga instructor, I'm trained to look at each person individually and consider not only the physical but the mental, emotional, and spiritual side as well. I truly believe in the body's ability to heal itself. My work is now centered around guiding people to understand themselves better on all levels in transforming their own health and well-being.
