About

I am a Senior Physical Therapist at TIRR Memorial Hermann Outpatient Rehabilitation in The Woodlands, TX. I have broad experience in the assessment and conservative treatment of patients with chronic pain related to complex orthopedic and post surgical conditions of the neck, back, and the extremities. After 13 years of practice at TIRR Outpatient Therapy Services in Houston, TX, I pursued a residency program in Orthopedic Functional Manual Therapy in 2014 through the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) developed by Gregg and Vicky Johnson. In 2015, I passed the orthopedic manual therapy certification exam With Honors and became a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT). I had also seized the opportunity to complete a yearlong residency program in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) at Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center in Vallejo, California before rejoining TIRR Memorial Hermann in 2018. Through these learnings, I have harnessed my understanding of my role as a facilitator of efficient mobility and function in my patients whether I'm dealing with chronic pain, orthopedic conditions, or a neurologic insult or disease.

My continued passion is to make a life-changing impact to my patients’ quality of life. Outside of my professional practice, I find joy in traveling overseas with my family, especially during the fall season, to appreciate the cool weather and the beautiful foliage.  

My Skills

Certifications: Functional Manual Therapy, International PNF Association level 3 practitioner, Level 1 in Functional Dry Needling.

In recent years, a course series in craniofacial pain and temporo-mandibular dysfunction by Dr. Jefferey Mannheimer, PT, PhD, CCTT has further influenced my interest in delving deeper into head, neck and TMJ anatomy as well as in harnessing manual therapy techniques to address post radiation fibrosis.
