Joanna Haymore

Joanna Haymore, MS, OTR/L, Healing From the Core Certified Instructor, has a private practice as an occupational therapist using CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Sensory Integration, and Body-Mind Centering to work with children and adults.

Joanna graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Masters in Occupational Therapy in 1994 and from the School of Body-Mind Centering, founded by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen in 1989. She is a Registered Movement Therapist with the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association and a licensed massage therapist. Joanna leads local study groups and offeres introductory Healing from the Core classes and the four day Healing from the Core: Grounding and Healthy Boundaries class. She believes in the human potential to live lovingly with oneself, other beings, and the planet and offers classes and individual work to help achieve that goal.

My skills

Sensory Integration training with a focus on working with adults and children with diverse issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD. She was a staff clinician at Developmental Therapy Associates for 7 years. Joanna received an in-house grant to further a CranioSacral and Visceral Manipulation practice in DTA's occupational therapy pediatric practice. Currently, Joanna works closely with a holistic psychiatrist to provide clients with a means of addressing a variety of issues including chronic pain, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and depression with increased inner resources. Teaching skills and self awareness from the Healing from the Core curriculum is an essential part of her work.
