About
I am a Christian wife, a homeschooling mom, and a nurse since 2005. Several years ago, my hands started going numb. The numbness turned into pain that affected the function of my hands. It was worse in the morning. After going to doctors and specialists and after an MRI and EMG, no one had answers for what was causing the numbness. No one had a treatment suggestion. I then started going to a chiropractor a few times a week for months. I would get a day of relief, but it would be right back the following day. My next move was to start getting massages. Relief lasted 3-4 days, but then returned. Then I had a massage by someone that asked if I would be interested in trying craniosacral therapy. I told her that I had never heard of it, but I was desperate. A few weeks later, I went to my 1st CST appointment. It was very relaxing; but I didn't notice much change in my hands at first. Then I woke up the next morning without the numbness. This lasted till the morning of my 2nd session a few weeks later. The same happened after my 2nd session. After the 3rd or 4th session, the numbness went away. I still have CST about every month. This amazing change in my life caused me to change my career. The focus of my work is to help the person in front of me to the best of my ability to help their body heal itself.
My Skills
I became a Registered Nurse in 2005. Most of my nursing career has been spent in the intensive care unit. However, I spent some time in the middle of my nursing career working in home health, hospice, nursing home care, education, and management. My favorite kind of patient in the ICU was a brain surgery patient. CST explains many things left as mysteries in nursing with regards to what we see in these patients.
In August of 2022, I started working as a Craniosacral Therapist part-time. In January of 2023, I took the CS2 course. I participated in the SER1 course in December of 2023.
In December of 2023, I worked my last nursing shift and started working Full Time as a Craniosacral Therapist. My main focus is CST.
